Fed Lowers Interest Rates – Forex Profits Soar

September 19, 2007

The fact that the has cut interest rates by a whopping one half of one percent is a top news story that most people are aware of.  What is not as widely known about this event and recent economic news regarding the credit crunch and housing slump is that the one market that continues to thrive for some entrepreneurs is the Forex or foreign exchange currency markets.  Lowering interest rates normally was a weakening effect on the U.S. dollar.  But to Forex traders it only represents movement in the market.  Whether the direction of a currency pair such as the EUR USD (Euro vs. the U.S. dollar) is up or down makes no difference in the ability of Forex traders to profit.  When the movement is up the trader buys that pair and when the movement is down the pair is sold with both transactions resulting in profit.

Forex Trading Scams Vs. What Really Works

September 10, 2007

Forex trading is becoming extremely popular these days.   So is shooting craps in Las Vegas but that does not mean it is always profitable.  The difficulty many people experience is they are lured by the many training programs that profess to teach the would-be Forex trader how to trade successfully.  When you enter the world of Forex trading and become a customer of the Forex trading industry, it can be very difficult to know what will really work for enabling you to learn to actually get consistent profits and mulitply your account.  Ironically some of the most “professional” , videos, forex seminars, and surefire Forex trading strategies do not actually produce successful businesses among their students.  The reasons for this are varied.  For one thing, the general approach to trading that is taught in most trading educaction programs is designed to benefit brokers more than traders.   And practically the entire world of trading is so caught up in this general approach that they have become blinded to the insights that should be common sense.

Why I Quit My Previous Business To Trade Forex

September 7, 2007

Over the years I have tried many businesses and had finally found one that was working extremely well.   I was investing in real estate using creative techniques I had learned from a number of real estate gurus.  The system was working like clockwork and all I had to do was send out a marketing campaign, take phone calls, make appointments and then meet to sign papers.  I had bought many nice homes without using any of my own money or financing.   The reason that it actually works is because I was providing a legitimate service to both buyers and sellers in a way that real estate agents had no idea even existed.  Some of these homes generated net profits of $40,000 to $70,000 within 1 to 2 years.  And I had found that it was possible to do 2 such deals per month without hiring assistance.

Forex Trading, The Ultimate Business

September 4, 2007

I have been investigating home based businesses since the eighties and have seen many interesting alternatives.  I have met many very successful Network Marketers and have been in at least 20 MLM companies myself.  I used to have a job in field service and whenever I visited an office that was in a person’s home I would always ask the person what business she was in.  One young man who had a nice home in a ski resort town turned out to be a rep for a nose hair trimmer product.  One older couple who had a home overlooking the slopes in Breckenridge was in the business of selling stamps.  Prior to getting involved in Forex trading I tried a number of different businesses and was quite successful in real estate investing.  But I discovered that business has a tremendous amount of stress that they don’t talk about on late night TV infomercials where the guru is interviewing his students sitting on a yacht wearing a hawaiian shirt. There are a lot of ways that people can make money legitimately but not all of them are desirable in terms of the amount of work and the amount of stress involved.

Fastest Way to Learn Forex

September 2, 2007

How long does it take to learn Forex trading?  I mean how long does it take to be able to actually be able to enter and close trades that consistently produce profit a high percentage of the time?  Of course, it is different for each individual.  Often people in the Forex trading world will say that it takes about 2 years to start to be slightly profitable.  But part of the reason why that statement is made is because there is a long frustrating process of trial and error that is the natural result of using trading methods that just don’t work.   Often it takes several months to a year to decide that a trading method is not working for you.   But you must be careful that the actual problem is not with you.
